A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Happy Spring

This weekend I had the opportunity to rediscover three self truths. In no particular order they are 1. I am not a home body 2. I thrive on being outdoors and getting exercise 3. I like to eat, thus the need for #2It all started Thursday night when I took over nurse duties from my mother who so kindly took care of my husband, while I was at work. One hour after being home self discovery #1, 2, & 3 came into play. My first thought was how I need to keep busy, I need to make something yummy to eat and I need to go on a walk. So after pouring over my cookbooks I headed with my list on a walk to the grocery store. Upon returning I set out to make a weekend of good food. I mean if you have to eat why not make it delicious.

So we dined on salmon with lemon and raisin relish, salmon cobb salad with parmesan crisps, goat cheese and almond stuffed chicken with mint pesto and chicken, goat cheese, green onion and corn quesadillas.

I went on five walks, three runs and had probably a good sixteen hours of fresh air.

I kept thinking I was sick because I was at home so much, but then I had to remind myself that I was just fine.I realized several things this weekend, how grateful I am that we are healthy enough to maintain an active lifestyle, how much Cameron does around the house under normal circumstances and how I can be my own best friend and entertain myself, as long as I have my trusty camera in toe. Here are some pictures from the weekend, I actually took a lot, far more than I thought I would.
