Raspberry Picking

There is something inherently satisfying about growing or picking your own food. There is confidence which comes when you know the source of your food. And I think it important at a young age to see the connection between farms and our food. I am pleased Jasper is aware that carrots grow in the ground, blueberries grow on bushes and grapes grow on vines. Raspberries are a huge favorite in our home, so we made certain to pack every nook and cranny of our freezer with them so we can enjoy them for months to come.

One of my favorite places to pick is Harvold's in Carnation. I am certain there are other great places to pick too, but I have been coming here for years and it just works. This year Jasper was not much of a fan of picking, but he sure likes the eating part.
