After an unsuccessful camping trip to Eastern washington, we decided to head to Portland for a little weekend getaway. We stayed at this new, hip hotel called Hotel Modero. We visited all our favorite places. Why does it seem like all of our favorite things to do in Portland involved eating?
Our top picks for Portland:
1. Mio Gelalto: I would recommend pistachio and chocolate hazelnut, Cameron would recommend lemon and chocolate.
2. Pizzicato: I would recommend margherita or anything with goat cheese, sundried tomatos, olives, artichokes....you name it, Cameron would recommend pepperoni.
3. Moonstruck Chocolates: I would recommend any cute little animal ie. cat, dog, pig, sunflower, it is all about the cute factor with me, Cameron is more practical and sticks with the peanut butter chocolate ice cream cones.
4. Powell's bookstore: 68,00 sf of books, if you cannot find it here why bother reading it??
5. Saturday market: good for people watching, lots of fun handmade jewelery
6. Kitchen Caboodle: great kitchen gadget store
