A few weeks ago I decided we would hold an Easter brunch for a few friends, since I hardly ever eat brunch myself this did seem a bit random. Upon sending out the invitations, I quickly found that brunch by design is the perfect solution for optimal socialization (most people are free in the mornings, verses evenings), simplicity (brunch food need not be complicated) and fun (most people usually down a bowl of cereal and go). Brunch is now my new favorite time of day to entertain. Thanks to all who were able to make it, we wished our place was larger so that we could have invited all our friends, but never fear I am always thinking up future parties and expect to see many BBQs at Lincoln Park this summer.
After being fueled by delicious food and energizing conversation, we made our way to Discovery Park for a late afternoon stroll. We had not been here since we have been married and decided it was high time to pay the shores another visit. I loves lighthouses, but sadly this particular one has seen better days. It was a wonderful, jam packed weekend and like all great weekends they always end too fast.
