A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Take a hike

If this blog has encouraged you to get outside more, go on a walk, a hike, or a camping trip than I am delighted beyond words. Especially if you live in Washington, there is little excuse to not take part in all the beauty which surrounds us. This weekend we sought off on another hiking adventure, this time to Summit Lake. Now the name might be a bit deceiving because we were not summiting anything, but it offered breathtaking views of Rainier at every bend.

A field of mountain lilies, I wanted to bring them all home with me.

Summit Lake was clear and the most pristine alpine lake I have ever laid eyes on.

After a little balancing act with the backpacks a temporary tripod was made for this photo.

The trail was relatively empty given the fact it was a glorious Saturday afternoon.

From a distance, Summit Lake was the beautiful shade of blue against all the green.

Rainier seemed so close, it felt like you could just hike over to it.

A picture perfect place for lunch.

So we got a little dirty driving up the Forest Service road, so what.
