The premise was simple: bake a homemade pie and bring it over for some good old fashion eating and judging. We had ten entries and three categories with prizes: Best Overall, Best Taste and Best Presentation.
In order to keep all the deliciousness straight I made numbers to place atop each pie.
I decided to stay with a classic; Martha Stewart's Crumb Top Apple Pie. I am happy to report it tied for third in the Best Taste category.
This little over achiever made two pies: apple pie and key lime pie. Her apple pie placed third for the Best Presentation category and tied for second in Best Overall category.
Lynn's Apple Cranberry Pie won for the Best Presentation and tied for second in the Best Overall category.
Robert impressed the audience with his second attempt ever at making a pie, the first being a test version of this Pecan Pie. He tied for third in the Best Taste category.
Kristi brought her pie straight from the oven, which helped her land first place in the Best Taste category with her Blackberry pie.
Of course we had to have a little snow to keep things festive.
