This weekend we forewent our usual routine in place of a little city exploration. After a morning of work, we set our sights on lunch with a view. We ended up at McCormick and Schmick's on Lake Union and throughly enjoyed the sun drenched and sparsely filled dining room.
After filling our stomaches we ventured to the nearby neighborhoods of Fremont and Capitol Hill. You never know what you might happen upon in both neighborhoods, but we found a new place of interest on Capitol Hill called Melrose Market and a cherry blossom tree starting to bloom in Fremont.
Melrose Market is a wonderful melding of a sustainable butcher shop, artisan cheese shop, the delicious Homegrown, a flower shop and a lovely new to us restaurant Sitka and Spruce.
