We went snowshoeing at Cypress Mountain last New Years day, but encountered heavy clouds, low visibility and a rain/snow mix. This year we went a couple days earlier and were able to see for miles in every direction. There were a far amount of people making their way up the mountain, but since we got an early start we were able to avoid most of the crowds.
The whisky jacks were as pushy as could be and eagerly waited in the treetops so they could snatch our food out of our hands.
Now we know what it looks like on a beautiful day and it makes us love the mountain even more.
