A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Easy hostess gift: Weck jar + homemade lemon curd

I am not always the best at remembering hostess gifts, but they are the perfect way to show appreciation for your host aside from bringing a salad or a side. An easy hostess gift for Easter is homemade lemon curd presented in a pretty glass jar tied with a ribbon. For those of you who have never made lemon curd before, it really could not be any simpler.

Key to a great lemon curd:

  • use freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • use organic sugar (finer than granulated sugar)
  • continuous stirring
  • low consistent heat

I rely on Martha Stewart for her Lemon Curd recipe, but I am certain there are other great ones out there too.

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Happy Easter!!
