A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Once you are married, it is easy to fall into the habit of either calling everything you ever do a date or never going on dates. Although we are not perfect at making this a constant priority, I like to think we make it a concerted effort to go on a frequent amount of dates.

What do I classify as a date?

  • When you set out with a plan and are headed to do a mutually interesting/enjoyable task. Mutually is key here because a trip to the fabric store or the Apple store would not be classified as a date.
  • When you have made a reservation or arrangements prior. This could be reservations for a restaurant, tickets to a movie, a play etc.
  • When you do something out of the ordinary in sheer celebration of being together. I realize this is pretty broad, but this could be something like stopping for ice cream after completing an errand or going on a long walk to watch the sunset.

With Valentine's Day around the corner, dates are the perfect thing to squeeze in between lunch breaks, soccer games or household chores.

How do you squeeze dating your spouse into your everyday life?
