Christmas shopping for our little mountain man
For anyone who has a small child it probably feels like every day is Christmas. Small children are constantly outgrowing, wearing out or in need of something and Christmas is just a good excuse to wrap up all those adorable gifts you have been stock piling over the past few months. It might just be me, but when it is small it is cute and when it is cute I am tempted to snatch it up. A long time ago I saw a good idea to give your child three gifts for Christmas; something to wear, something to play with and something to read. I really liked this idea as a good starting point for my Christmas shopping and if I had more self control that would be all I was buying. Instead, I remind myself Jasper will only be little once and he will only be able to fit into tiny plaid shirts and coonskin caps while roasting marshmallows over his play fire for so long.
Here are some of my favorite gifts for my little outdoor adventurer:
Little hands get cold probably faster than big hands, so I love these snow gloves when we are snow shoeing or hiking in the Winter. I also love hats and long underwear from Smart Wool because they are warm without being itchy.
Being fashionable is important even when you sleep! And since Jasper is so tall I like to put him in these cute two piece pajamas from Old Navy.
Because you can't always escape to the mountains, sometimes you have to play pretend inside with your roasting sticks and fire from Land of Nod.
He might not be old enough to chop down trees, but he can still look cute in lots of plaid shirts from Gap Kids.
Children are always in need of new socks and whenever I see cute outdoor themed ones I make certain to grab them.
Jasper's love of the outdoors can also be seen in his room. I like to keep him stocked with these cute wool pillows from Three Bad Seeds.
Even little guys need comfy lounge wear and these mountain pants are just the thing for relaxing by the fire after a long day in the snow.
