Swan Trail Farm
Foggy mornings which break way to sunshine filled afternoons, lots of layers, sweaters, pumpkin patches, pots of soup on the stove, fall colors, and cozy evenings. I know it is cliche to say, but Autumn is really my favorite time of year. As soon as the pumpkin patches opened up we knew we wanted to visit as many farms as possible this month so we started with Swan Trail Farm and picked out a few pumpkins to get the season heading in the right direction. Aside from pumpkins Swan Trail Farm also has a hay ride, apple picking, a kid's play area and a little farm store on the weekends.
Jasper was decisive and then indecisive. He would pick one pumpkin and declare it was the best and then find another one which was better. Sounded just like me at the pumpkin patch.
I told him if he could carry it then we could buy it. I know if he could have found a way he would have purchased a pumpkin larger than himself.
As cute as he was he was not the most careful pumpkin picker outer. Once he found one he wanted he would use the wheelbarrow as a basketball hoop and chuck it in at top speed.
Going to a pumpkin patch during the week is the way to go. No crowds, no lines and the pumpkin patch all to yourself.
