Out and About with Kids: Obstruction Pass
While visiting Orcas Island we spent a morning exploring Obstruction Pass. Obstruction Pass is a state park, with a beach, first come first serve camping spots and picnic tables. The trail is about a mile long from the parking lot down to the beach and offers beautiful views through the trees the entire way.
The beach isn't large, but we had it ourselves and found plenty of sticks and seaweed to toss into the water.
I am grateful we are raising a child we would rather be outdoors, than watch television. Who would rather read books than play computer games. And who is happy to come along and explore with us wherever we go. I completely understand the allure of having a family of three. We really hit the jackpot with this one!
