Cutthroat Lake
Cutthroat Lake is a must when we visit the North Cascades. The hike is short, the scenery is breathtaking and more often than not we have the places to ourselves. Jasper was a big fan of the many river crossings and I am always thoroughly impressed with Cameron for hauling him around.
Lately, I have been trying to make the deal "you carry him up and I will carry him down" Usually going down is not too bad, but you definitely noticed the added weight pushing you down the mountain.
My expert stick and rock thrower. If we ever get attacked by a bear I hope Jasper's good aim helps us out.
All that sunshine and rock throwing made for one tired little boy. We happily sat here for at least an hour watching him sleep, taking photos of him and generally admiring him. Oh, how we love our little guy so!
