Winter in Winthrop

No trip to the North Cascades is complete without an afternoon in downtown Winthrop. We always make a pit stop at Sheri's for chocolate covered caramel squares and now every time we visit Jasper feels like he needs a little bag of gummies for himself. East 20 is always a must for calzones and we have learned to go early to avoid the crazy crowds that form at night. 

Sweet little festive touches like these little candy canes make it extra fun to walk the Winthrop boardwalks. 

We thought it might be fun to take Jasper ice skating, but he adamantly decided he would rather watch than skate. Afterwards we went sledding down a few gentle hills. 

We've spent many an hour playing on this bridge over the past couple of years. Ever since Cameron went swimming in an alpine lake this Summer each time Jasper has subsequently seen water he likes to suggest Cameron should go swimming. 

These two guys make life a whole lot more fun and photogenic. Gosh I love these two!
