Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

Last week, I had the opportunity to make some special treats for some special people. I knew I wanted to channel the Rainbow Brite lover in me so I found some sour rainbow candy strips, made some vanilla buttercream and adorned my favorite chocolate cake recipe into delightful little rainbow treats. If I had a girl I might just craft an entire birthday party around these. Looking at them made me that darn happy!
