Recharge at Port Ludlow Resort
We recently spent the weekend at Port Ludlow Resort for one last hurrah before Cameron returned back to work from paternity leave. The weather was beautiful and we kept saying to ourselves “How can this be the middle of October?” During our time there we took advantage of the “Recharge” package which included a light breakfast delivered to your door each morning, one hour kayaking vouchers for two, a gift basket of local goodies and a hiking map of the area.
We enjoyed walking around the gorgeous property at Port Ludlow Resort and having the beach to ourselves. We spent a morning visiting a waterfall and spent an afternoon in Port Townsend. Port Ludlow is such a great destination from Seattle because it is easy to get to and you feel like you have really gone somewhere far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The Fireside Restaurant at Port Ludlow Resort serves up delicious and inventive food so there is really no need to leave the property once you have checked in unless you want to. Some of our favorites were the cheese platter, the halibut and the melt in your mouth scallops.
Every day should start! with breakfast in bed.
The view from our room.
Port Townsend is a short thirty minute drive from Port Ludlow and has a farmer’s market, a variety of galleries and stores to keep you busy for several hours and a bustling waterfront. Elevated Ice Cream and the children’s pirate ship are two must sees for our family every time we visit.
