First family outing with Daphne
Postpartum looks different for everyone. You may love to cozy up at home or you may feel the tug to get out and about into the world as soon as possible. Either way it is an exciting time as your body and your family adjust to having a new little person around. With Cameron on paternity leave I have felt the need to get out and make as many memories as a new little family as possible. Sure there are days where I am exhausted, sore and many other things, but I never regret a day out with my family. And when there is sunshine, apple picking, fields of sunflowers and apple cider donuts it feels like heaven on earth.
For the past several years we have made it a tradition to go to Swan Trail Farm in Snohomish, WA. They have a pumpkin patch, apple picking, hayrides, a cow train, a petting farm, slides, a corn maze, an inflatable pillow for bouncing and a myriad of other attractions for the kids. You can spend a morning there or if you are like me feeding a newborn every two to three hours you might find before you know it you have spent all day long there.
