A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Whenever I host parties I always prefer to use silverware and dishes over paper plates and plastic cups. Not only does it make my guests feel more important, but makes the party more intimate. An added bonus in using what I have on hand means creating less waste in the long run. Over the years I have invested in a good assortment of white dishes and clear glassware, which have proven to be the most versatile items I could ever own. Here are some of my favorites:

Glassware:

PB Classic Goblets We use these everyday at dinnertime, but they are also perfect for parties. Oftentimes, I wrap a little ribbon around the stem to match the color palette of the party.

Rings Glasses These have become our everyday glasses. I love the simple, modern look of these glasses. The ridges take them up a notch and make them fancy enough for parties. We own the 12 oz., but I am also considering adding the 16 oz. to our collection.

Dishes:

Aspen Dinner plates From buffets to dinner parties and everyday these white dinner plates are the most used item in my pantry. Food is the star when served on white plates and when you spend time in the kitchen you want all your hard work to be recognized.

Low Bowl Low bowls are the perfect combination of a plate and a bowl. They dress up soups and salads by providing a nice white rim, but they can also be used in place of a standard white plate.

Small Cuatro platters These plates are perfect for appetizers, but I have also used them for dessert. You can store a lot of them because they are small, easily stackable and don't take up a lot of room on a table or in a closet.

Silverware:

Grand Hotel II  Over ten years ago we registered for these place settings and I love them today as much as the first day we used them. The silverware can appear dressy, but we also use it for everyday. I hate the idea of saving items just for special occasions, so I am happy we these for cereal as well as fancy dinners. Over the years when they have gone on sale I have made sure to pick up an extra set or two.
