Coupeville, WA
Last weekend we drove up to Mukilteo and then took the ferry over to Whidbey Island. As fun as it is to travel by ferry we hardly do it enough. Our final destination was Coupeville, WA. Coupeville is one of the oldest communities in the state of Washington and best known for their delicious Penn Cove mussels.
One of my favorite things to do in Coupeville aside from enjoy the idyllic scenery is eat at Knead and Feed. Knead and Feed's sandwiches, soups and cookies are so delicious I literally crave them. Overall, I consider myself a pretty good food critic, so when I say their food is worth the 1.5 hour drive it takes to get there, I mean it.
After you fill your stomach with delicious food, it is fun to stroll around town looking in the different shops and art galleries. Coupeville makes for a wonderful day trip from Seattle and the Clipper Vacations offers a whale watching tour from April-May with a stopover in Coupeville.
