University of Washington cherry blossoms
When beautiful weather combines with perfect timing and gorgeous flowers it is a wonderful moment. A couple weeks ago I saw the University of Washington cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and as luck would have it, it coincided with a breathtakingly beautiful Friday evening. We enjoyed strolling around my alma mater while I snapped photographs as if I had never seen a cherry blossom before.
These cherry blossom trees are somewhere around eighty years old and typically have a life span of one hundred years old. They have gorgeous mossy trunks and long curved arms just begging to be climbed. When I am there I like to think about how these are the same trees my grandfather, father and siblings enjoyed while we all attended the University of Washington. Multi generational tree enjoying, now that is something worth remembering.
Where I found the bloom status report.
