A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Life update: Baby mode

Ever since I saw a positive on my pregnancy test we have been in baby mode over here. I know for many "nesting" does not occur until much later in the pregnancy, but for me it is quite instantaneous. Last time, I had clothing hung on hangers, the sheets washed, the crib set up and made, and the baby quilt finished. By week 27 I was pretty much just waiting on our baby to arrive. I was prepared or as prepared as I thought I could be.

This time around, I have already purchased additional clothing, selected fabric for another baby quilt and been dreaming up projects galore (like making these alphabet wood letters pictured above). I always like to have something percolating in the back of my brain, so for me making preparations for this baby is a great thing to take up that extra space in my mind. All in all things are pretty much the same this time around as last. I seem to be getting larger this time which I believe is my body's way of telling me, "Oh yeah, we've done this before".

My faith in God and my complete and utter excitement at the mere thought of bringing home our baby from the hospital are working on overdrive to push aside doubt and fear. Making a baby is hard work, even if you think you feel mentally and physically prepared for the twists and turns ahead.

Does working on projects make you excited for your future? When did nesting start for you?

Past baby projects include my first baby quilt, planning Asher's nursery and crocheting baby blankets for local hospitals.
