Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

Once I discovered this Chocolate Cake recipe a couple years back, I have never made another kind of chocolate cake again. I love how I typically have all of the ingredients required to make it and how it always turns out. I am convinced the chocolate frosting is better than any chocolate frosting I have ever tasted or made. Sometimes if I am feeling festive I sandwich mini chocolate chips between the two layers, other times I might top it with sprinkles. Whether for a birthday celebration or just because this cake will never lead you astray.

Side note: Since I do not drink coffee I substitute the coffee for a cup of water.
