A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Glamping

Our backpacks were packed for our annual tradition of camping on the Olympic Peninsula over Memorial Day weekend, but as we continued to check the weather we came to the realization it would not be cooperating. Undeterred, we checked last minute deals on flights to anywhere it would be not raining, and thought maybe if we went east of the mountains we could escape the rain. No such luck!

We finally opted for the exact opposite of roughing it and booked a room at our favorite five star hotel in Portland and spent a lovely weekend shopping, eating and enjoying the benefits of tax free living.

Another highlight of our trip was being able to enjoy the Food Network (albeit for a brief period of time) where I learned about glamping (glamorous camping). Apparently, glamping is quite the trend among millionaires; which includes sleeping in beds with 800 thread count sheets in yurts, accompanied by personal chefs and all the comforts of home. Maybe that is what we need to do next time it is raining and we want to go camping.
