A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Weekend getaway: Eastern Washington

Whenever a long weekend approaches, it is my knee jerk reaction to get out of town. As much as I enjoy living in Seattle, a change of scenery does wonders for my well being. The weather in Seattle is typically disappointing for Memorial day, so we have finally gotten wise and know we should head east to find the sunshine. Eastern Washington might as well be worlds away from Seattle because everything from its demographics to the color palette is so different than the city.

We stumbled upon the

Columbia Wildlife Refuge

, on our way to Potholes State Park. We had the place to ourselves and were treated to an afternoon of sunshine and bird watching. After experiences like this, we always say we should purchase binoculars, but we never have.

Road tripping through Eastern Washington, oftentimes means driving down empty roads.
