In honor of our wedding anniversary and Cameron's first Father's Day we spent a lovely weekend at Alderbrook on the Hood Canal. We had never been here before and it was the perfect combination of relaxation and fun. We kayaked along the Hood canal picking out which home we would want to escape to, spent our evenings watching the sunset, hiked through mossy woodlands and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. Even though the resort was at capacity, it never felt overcrowded or too busy.
Do you have a favorite weekend getaway or go to spot which makes you feel rejuvenated?
After a very busy Friday, we hopped on a late afternoon ferry and within a hour we were in the solitude of Alderbrook Resort.
The entrance to the lobby
Love this sign!!
A perfectly still evening on the water
There were many different boats big and small to choose from to rent.
Also, there were many water sports available like SUP, kayaking and water bikes.
Although we don't drink alcohol, we thoroughly enjoyed our potato chips at happy hour.
Highlights of the lobby were the two sided fireplace and ample seating.
The dock at Alderbrook
Sunshine and glass like reflections, made for a fantastic evening!
Like two little kids, hunched over the dock waiting to see if we could spot jelly fish.
Feeling full and happy after our anniversary dinner.
