A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

When I came across this alternative Christmas tree I completely fell in love and knew I had to make my own. With a little foraging in my front and backyard I was able to find quite the array of supplies. Within thirty minutes I had found a couple branches of the following:

  • cedar
  • holly
  • pine
  • rosemary
  • red berries
  • heather

Supplies:

  • scissors
  • garden clippers
  • washi tape
  • cedar, holly, pine, rosemary branches
  • shiny/glittery star

Directions:

1. Cut three inch strips of washi tape for every branch you intend to use

2. Attach branches in the form of a Christmas tree with washi tape to your wall. Alternatively, you could spell out something like "wish" or "merry" depending on the size of your wall and the amount of items you found.

This project would be perfect for little children and could include a plant identification lesson either beforehand or after. You really cannot mess up this tree because it can be any shape or size you want it to be. Also, you don't need any floor space for this charming little tree, just a blank wall.
