Simple tissue paper flowers
A proven way to chase away winter blues is with flowers. The only trouble with fresh flowers is they don't last forever. A simple and easy way to bring the outdoors in is by creating an assortment of tissue paper flowers.
All you need to make tissue paper flowers are three simple items:
- stacked sheets of tissue paper
- scissors
- hot glue gun and glue
Instructions for the flower's center:
1. For each flower you want to create cut a five inch long by two inch high rectangle out of the yellow tissue paper. Cut fringe every 1/2" inch along the bottom 3/4 of the yellow rectangle.
2. Place a dot of hot glue at the end of the yellow tissue paper strip and roll. Once it is rolled up fluff to your desired shape.
Instructions for the flower:
1. Depending on the desired size of your flower, cut organic petal shapes out of the tissue paper. Once the shape is cut out, crinkle up the petal and then flatten out. Repeat for all petals.
2. Take the yellow center you have created and affix 3-4 crinkled petals to form your desired flower.
Instructions for leaf:
1. Cut a simple leaf shape out of the tissue paper. Crinkle up leaf and then flatten out.
2. Affix to completed tissue paper flower with hot glue.
Although there are endless uses for these flowers, here are just a few ideas:
