Time flies
At the start of the Summer season, I had a long to do list of things I wanted to accomplish. As the weather has consistently stayed warmer than normal I have found my energy waning and my excitement for Summer to come to an end ever increasing. Shorter days equals being more productive inside and just another sign we will be able to meet our little man soon.
A couple weeks ago we spent an afternoon kayaking around Lake Union. My reward for squeezing myself into a kayak was a glorious afternoon spent among the colorful houseboats and a constant kicking in my ribs. As much as I might grumble about my feet swelling or my ribs feeling bruised I will always be eternally grateful for the opportunity to carry another child. I know firsthand how precious life is and I am trying my best to not take any moment for granted no matter how uncomfortable I might temporarily feel. Although I was pregnant not that long ago I am constantly amazed at the slow and deliberate adaptation of my body to support another life. It truly is a remarkable experience.
Cameron and I have this amazing ability to avoid the crowds wherever we go. Most of the time we were kayaking it was just us and the beautiful scenery.
After kayaking we enjoyed happy hour at Chandler's on Lake Union. We always forget about this place, so it was nice to enjoy a leisurely late lunch on the water.
Other kayaking adventures include: kayaking off Alki Beach, kayaking through the Ballard Locks, sunset kayaking trip along the Seattle waterfront, and the perfect date night; dinner and kayaking,
