A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Pebble Cove Farm

Pebble Cove Farm

During our time on Orcas Island we stayed at a lovely place called Pebble Cove Farm owned by Lydia and John Miller. Upon first glance at their website, the thing that struck me the most was how they referred to it as their "dream come true". In 2004, Lydia and John bought this long neglected acreage and worked hard to transform an abandoned barn into a contemporary farmhouse. There dream to raise their three boys by the sea was achieved and now their guests are the recipients of all their hard work.  Pebble Cove Farm is a respite from the world. There is a u-pick garden, a sweet horse named Buddy, goats, pigs, chickens, a swing set and most importantly room to breathe. Jasper loved spending his time in the garden and I was in love with their bountiful orchard and flower garden.

We stayed in the Family Suite which has a garden theme from the flowers on the wall to the flowers on the sheets. The Family Suite has a bedroom with a queen bed and TV, and a living room with a sofa bed, dining table, and gas fireplace. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a single burner cook top, microwave and coffee maker.  There are french doors in the suite which lead out to an expansive deck with breathtaking views of the water. Our room came equipped with the morning essentials: juice, milk, granola, coffee and a basket of healthy snacks. It was nice to not have to leave our room in search of food first thing in the morning.

A bit of our beautiful bounty from the garden.

A sweet, old horse named Buddy.

Danica feeding the chickens.

The Garden Cottage.

I know I say it time and time again, but I find it so very important to teach my children where food comes from. Jasper loved plucking an apple off the tree and sharing it with me.

The PNW is such a beautiful and abundant place to live. Pebble Cove Farm was the epitome of everything good in the Northwest from the rugged scenery and fresh air to the beautiful garden and simple, but comfortable accommodations. My time at Pebble Cove Farm was a poignant reminder of how important it is to be mindful about the type of life you want to lead and make it work for your family.

I am grateful for people like Lydia and John who follow their dreams and then share it with others. We are excited to come back to Pebble Cove Farm in the Summer to build a bonfire, eat smores, go kayaking, watch the sky turn pink and purple and to make more memories together as a family.
