A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Marabou Design's calligraphy workshop

Marabou Design's calligraphy workshop

On a rainy afternoon, I made my way over to Cafe Trophy to participate in the first ever Trophy Workshop presented by Marabou Design. It was a delightful afternoon filled with sweet treats from Cafe Trophy, the opportunity to learn a new skill and a chance to meet a few creative ladies who live in the area. I have always wanted to learn how to do modern calligraphy, so I jumped at the chance when I saw Brandy would be teaching a class in such a fun and intimate setting.

Everything at Cafe Trophy is drool worthy, especially these show stopping cakes! During the calligraphy workshop I had the opportunity to rub shoulders with the founder of Trophy Cupcake, Jennifer Shea. I enjoyed being able to speak with her about her new endeavor Cafe Trophy and learned through our conversation that pastries have always been her first love. This love is evident in her attention to detail and sheer variety available in the display cases at Cafe Trophy. I love her cupcakes, but sometimes you feel like a croissant, macaroon or a little something else.

In honor of Trophy Cupcakes 10th birthday they are celebrating throughout the month of February by offering these crazy festive birthday cupcakes. Each week one lucky winner will win a golden ticket giving them a year supply of cupcakes and macaroons.

Macaroons with edible gold and silver dusting. Perfection!

I left the Trophy Workshop inspired by a beautiful and fun afternoon spent with fellow creative ladies. The day after the workshop I tried my hand at making a few name tags for a couple of upcoming events I will be hosting this month. For my first attempt I was pretty pleased with the results and look forward to practicing a little more each week.

I have heard rumblings that Cafe Trophy hopes to host many more workshops this year, so keep your eye out for future events. They are definitely worth the drive to Bellevue.
