Snow storm in Seattle
Well it happened, we finally got a real bonafide, school was canceled, more than three inches of snow fell snow storm. Whenever we see snow in the forecast we first get excited and then usually become skeptical because the white stuff never seems to show up. This time it wasn't really talked about or expected and then bam, Monday morning we woke up to a Winter Wonderland.
Immediately, I thought it would be a brilliant idea to go on a walk to Lincoln Park, but I always forget everything is a bit more cumbersome when a stroller is involved. A couple hours later after huffing it up and down a lot of snow and steep hills we arrived at the beach. Once there we were disappointed to find less snow, heavy rain and to top it all off a cranky toddler who was frankly over it. Once we arrived back home we treated ourselves to a rare warm lunch of homemade biscuits and chili. As we watched the snow fall steadily outside we were happy and grateful to have a warm place to come at the end of the day whether it is snowing outside or not.
After our walk through some lovely neighborhoods we came back home and made buttermilk biscuits. It was our first time making biscuits together and Jasper really enjoyed getting his hands dirty and playing with the flour and butter. The flour on his sweet little face was just too precious not to capture.
