Mother's Day weekend

For Mother's Day weekend I had two requests: to go to Portland, go to this nursery and to eat crab. So on a rainy, stormy Saturday we made a quick trip to Portland for good food, a little shopping and my favorite nursery. I am blessed to be a part of a family full of kind and patient guys, but when I took a little too much time at the nursery Jasper made certain to display his dissatisfaction with me. Jasper is decisive and I know he would have made his selection in two minutes...tops!

Por Que No is always a necessary pit stop when in Portland. Their bowls and homemade chips are some of the best you will find. 

Jasper getting mauled by a puppy. It was all fun and games until the puppy's leash got wrapped around Jasper and he started to feel too much love. Ha!

Pistil's Nursery is a plant lady's heaven. They also have the largest assortment of interesting indoor plants I have ever seen. I am not exaggerating when I say I would happily take one of everything in their shop. 

Even if the rain has felt relentless and Summer seems like a distant memory, a scoop of honey lavender ice cream from Ruby Jewel's and a new pair of shoes made for the perfect day!
