Out and About with Kids: Volunteer Park Conservatory and playground
Whenever we are looking for a low key but fun morning adventure I love to head to the Volunteer Park Conservatory and then over to the neighboring playground park. It is beautiful and refreshing to be amongst the plants and flowers for me and fun for Jasper to play with all the trucks at the park after a walk amongst the foliage. On those days where we don't pack a picnic or are feeling extra hungry we head over to the Volunteer Park Cafe for sandwiches or scones. I love neighborhood hang outs which are simple, inexpensive and equally interesting for all parties involved.
With a blink of an eye Fall seems to be making its presence known.
And oh the drama of having a toddler...... They are up, they are down and they are oh so full of every kind of emotion. Although we take Jasper a lot of places he still has his moments where he does not want to walk or has other ideas than whatever we have planned for the day. If there is one thing for sure children keep you humble and I am endlessly grateful for this little man who is shaping me into the person I need to become.
When you have the coveted sand pit to yourself at the park and you don't have to share any of the trucks with anyone else. Score!!
