General Porpoise
There are so many places in Seattle I would consider little jewels and General Porpoise is one of them. The decor is minimal, yet hip and sophisticated. The line is never too long nor the wait too crazy. And there always seem to be a seat available at the high bar overlooking the sidewalk. Most importantly, their sugary filled donuts are among some of the best we have ever tried. We seem to gravitate toward the Chocolate Marshmallow, but the Lemon curd and Vanilla Custard are all equally tasty and always available.
This week we experienced a brief moment of Fall where we grabbed our rain jackets and spent a drizzly morning with friends enjoying the finer things in life like good food, plenty of laughs and each other. I am grateful for friends with big kids who treat my little guy like he is top dog. You should see how he struts around after spending the day with these two.
Jasper loves to make people laugh and always keeps a watchful eye on what the big kids are doing.
If I had to guess I would say Jasper is going to lead the life of a social butterfly. Everyone seems to love him and he seems to be able to connect on some level with everyone.
Just chatting with the big kids like it is no big deal.
A wet walk through Chophouse Row and a good hour spent in Elliott Bay bookstore. The perfect way to spend a rainy morning in Seattle.
