A sunny Saturday in the city
Saturdays are the one day of week we are usually free of other obligations and commitments. We like to spend the day outside, getting some exercise, breathing in fresh air and being together. Sometimes this is done in the mountains and more often than not lately this has been done in the city. We like to walk the familiar streets with Jasper's keen eye pointing out everything from a squirrel climbing up a tree to a kayaker in the water. These streets are filled with an ever increasing reservoir of memories and it is fun to see what Jasper remembers from our time together. Even though he is young he is able to remember directions with such clarity, often when we are in the car he will point out we are going the "wrong way" if we delineate from our usual routes. Any walk where he can bike, watch seaplanes and have access to an endless array of people watching makes for an interesting day.
Jasper has become so good on his balance bike, it is fun to see him take pride in his accomplishment.
Whenever there is blue sky it is always cause for celebration.
Pointing out all his favorite boats.
And any day spent entirely with Dad is a good day in our book.
