Biking around the city
Over the past six months there have been so many milestones with Jasper, but finally being able to say goodbye to diapers and not having to bring the stroller everywhere we go might just be my two favorite developments. There is something so freeing about being able to head out on an adventure sans stroller. The feeling is reminiscent to the first day of Spring you go outside without a jacket on. All day long you keep thinking you forgot something, but really you are just unaccustomed to having the wind breeze across the back of your neck. I am doing my best to embrace every moment with these two because this little guy is growing up a tad too fast for my liking. At every age I say it is my favorite, but three might just be my new favorite. Except for the part where he has stopped calling me "mama" very often and instead often calls me "mom" sounding more like an annoyed teenager than my sweet little boy.
Last Saturday, the weather was Spring time perfection. We spent the morning down at the beach, first going for a family run followed by the ever popular donut run. After that, we spent a couple hours down at the beach where we watched seals basking in the glory of low tide and sunshine and then were entertained by a heron catching his lunch.
