Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.
When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.
This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Familly photos are equally fun and terrifying. There are numerous people to please, but there are also ample people to enjoy being with. Families are one of my most favorite subjects to photograph because I know these photos will be looked back on fondly and serve as a reminder of a bustling and precious time in their lives.
Whenever I have the opportunity to capture an important moment in a person's life, I always feel honored. It may be the first time their entire family has been together in years, a wedding or this particular time it was Senior Prom. Before I take someone's photo I always feel like a ball of nerves. I always hope they are deeply satisfied with the end results and that my vision was what they had in mind. The thing I most enjoy about photography is its ability to capture a moment and freeze it in time. Especially now having children, I view each photo I take as a mini time capsule I can pull out again and again. I always feel both excited and honored to capture other people's memories and appreciate the faith they put in me and my abilities.
Kids are just about my favorite thing to photograph. They are funny, unpredictable and oozing with both sass and charm. The other day I had the privilege of photographing my good friend's children. As I was taking their photographs I reflected upon how I want big things for these two, but more importantly how lucky I am they have turned into my friends too.
If Seattle had one spokesperson, it should be Terry Divyak, the owner of Shutter Tours. From the moment he greets you at Pike Place Market until the moment he drops you off he is high energy, full of interesting information and completely thrilled to be showing you around Seattle.
I have been looking for the perfect camera bag for quite sometime. I wanted something stylish, versatile and yet something which did not scream camera bag when you saw it. When I ran across ONA camera bags I knew these were the type of bags I had been looking for. We were in the process of planning our trip to Europe and I knew it would be the perfect time to break in our new Brixton Camera bag. The Brixton camera bag is quite large and is able to hold: my camera, extra lens, iPad or small laptop, wallet/clutch and all my other camera paraphernalia (ie. charger, extra batteries, etc.) The Brixton is the perfect size to take on a photo shoot or for carrying a full day of equipment.
