Family photos

Several months ago we did a crazy thing and had family photos taken while on vacation. The buying clothes right before the session, changing into said clothes in a dusty parking lot, getting ready by the reflection of the car windows after driving all day type of prep.

Growing up I visited Montana annually to see my Oma. As I have grown older Montana has held a special place in my heart. As a couple and now as a family we have camped and hiked all over Glacier National Park in particular. But I knew I wanted to capture this busy, wild, exhausting, and fun-filled time of adventure in our lives.

Even if it is a self-timer and a tripod, make sure to get in front of the camera with your people. Years from now they won’t care how you looked they’ll just remember the smile on your face and how you felt about those in the frame.
