A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Find your cause, find your purpose

Find your cause, find your purpose

It was not until the day I lost my own child that I became a diaper activist. Although I had known many people who had experienced miscarriages; infant mortality was just not on my radar. I was pretty naive when it came to pregnancy and childbirth. Much like many  of you I functioned under the assumption that pregnancy would end with a healthy child. In my own pregnancy, I never had a moment of unease or concern until the day my child stopped moving.

After we received a tiny diaper and blanket from the hospital where we had our son; my sweet husband suggested we make a set to replace the one we were given. Little did he know how his simple suggestion would turn into my passion. I have always been a bit of an overachiever, so creating one set was not enough in my mind. A couple months after Asher's death we had donated 90 layette sets, diaper sets and blankets. I speak of this not with the purpose of bragging, but to relay the power of one.

One person had an idea to help. Another person took the initiative to organize a group of people and since then hundreds of people have donated their time, talents and materials.

New friends, old friends, friends of friends and strangers have come together with a common purpose to trace, cut, sew, crochet, knit, and lend support.

I have witnessed the power of one.

My son, the inspiration.

My husband, the motivation.

Myself, possessing the ability to grab tightly to an idea and run with it.

Whenever you loose someone; there is a hole left in your heart. Seeing what has been created because of my son fills that hole with love.

If you want to take part in this worthy project feel free to contact me directly or check out Teeny Tears who we work through to make all our of donations nationwide.

Has something transpired in your own life which has suddenly made you passionate about a particular cause?
