A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Shutter Tours in Seattle

Shutter Tours in Seattle

If Seattle had one spokesperson, it should be Terry Divyak, the owner of Shutter Tours. From the moment he greets you at Pike Place Market until the moment he drops you off he is high energy, full of interesting information and completely thrilled to be showing you around Seattle.

In between stops at Snoqualmie Falls, the Ballard Locks, Theo Chocolate and Kerry Park he continuously tells stories of Seattle's past, and present. From pop culture, to history and photography; Terry has a unique way of making both visitors and locals feel as though they are visiting or live in one of the coolest places in the country.

While the 45 minute drive to Snoqualmie Falls might seem a tad long to be stuck on a tour bus, Terry had me completely engaged both there and back with his stories of Seattle. I have taken many tours before, but I can honestly say Terry's was the most informative, interesting one I have been on. Shutter Tours combines photogenic, but not overly touristy sights interspersed with photography tips. Terry, a photographer in his own right briefly discusses how to create an establishing shot and the rule of thirds before stepping out of the bus at Snoqulamie Falls. He is quick to offer photography help and is very willing to take a photo or two of you and your group.

After the Falls we wound our way through some of Seattle's neighborhoods so we could drive by Kurt Cobain's house and Jimi Hendrix park. After a quick stop at the Fremont Troll we headed over to Theo's Chocolates for chocolate sampling.

Nests at the Ballard Locks and one of the brightly colored boats that came through while we were there.

After the Ballad Locks we finished our tour with a stop at Kerry Park. It is such a beautiful viewpoint of downtown Seattle.

If you have lived in the area for a few years and have yet to venture to these sites, have out of town guests coming and don't want to chauffeur them around or enjoy playing tourist in your own town for the day then Shutter Tours is the perfect choice for you.

This post was sponsored by Shutter Tours, but I was under no obligation to write anything other than my experience. I only share with my readers experiences I find valuable, places I loved to stay and products which improve my life.
