Paris in the Springtime
I really cannot say enough good things about visiting Paris in the spring time. We were fortunate to have spectacular weather throughout our entire stay. We relished every moment we were able to sit in the sunshine admiring all the lovely flowers and people watching. I especially enjoyed how this trip turned into a baby moon of sorts. Walking hand in hand exploring the city made me reminisce on the wonderful thirteen years we have had together. I wouldn't trade our time together for anything in the world. Sure, sometimes we disagree and get on each other's nerves, but we have learned a lot from each other and I like to think we are better together than apart.
Our trip could not have come at a better time. Six months ago when we bought our tickets we had no idea I would be pregnant. I feel very fortunate that by the time we went on our trip I was no longer nauseous and hungry every second of every day and my energy levels had drastically improved.
The thing I loved most about walking around Paris as opposed to taking the Metro is how around every corner lies intrigue and beauty.
Peonies were the main flower at our wedding, so every time I see them they make my heart happy thinking about our special day!!
Gelato from Berthillion. I loved how these little cones held just the perfect amount of gelato.
Merci is a treasure trove of clothing, housewares and on this particular visit gardening. I think next time I need to bring an empty suitcase or two so I can fill it with all the goodies I find. The shopping is unreal in Paris!
Blue skies, wrought iron balconies and flowers summed up our typical views.
Standing in front of the Eiffel Tower is one of those surreal moments where you feel like someone needs to pinch you. As touristy as it is we enjoyed making an effort to see it daily.
Our hotel had the most fantastic location and was a five minute walk from Jardin des Tuileries.
This little restaurant caught my eye, it looked so charming and so very French!
Doing our due diligence and sampling sweets all around town. These are Laduree macaroons, worth every penny and their packaging is simply gorgeous!
Sunshine, La Seine and Notre Dame. Notre Dame is celebrating its 850th anniversary this year.
Have you ever visited Paris in the spring time? Does the weather determine where you go on vacation?
