Finally....a little good weather
Over the past couple of weeks we have finally had some good weather. A combination of longer days, warmer weather and beautiful sunsets have made us feel like Summer is here if only for a few days. We have taken full advantage of this extra boost of sunshine by eating most of our meals al fresco, loading up on berries galore, spending time at the beach, working in our garden and starting our Summer ice cream cone tally.
Riding the pedi cab along the waterfront reminded me how my child will always be way cooler than me. And those sunglasses from Target have been our best Summer purchase these past two weeks.
Elliott's is one of our favorite places to have dinner on a warm Summer night. Grilled salmon and mussels are always our top choices.
Although I do not care much for meat I am crazy about seafood. When given the choice I will always choose seafood over red meat.
Check out this amazing kid's meal from Elliott's; salmon, mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. No burgers or grilled cheese for our little guy! We have tried to instill in Jasper a love of good food and moments like this remind me it is working.
Jasper's first visit to the Space Needle. He had been talking incessantly about visiting the Space Needle for a solid week so we finally made it happen. I think the elevator ride or maybe the ice cream was his favorite part.
Gas Works Park has quickly become one of our favorite spots to hang out on a nice day. With the beautiful backdrop of the city, a breeze in the air and plenty of boat and air traffic it is the perfect spot to have a picnic or play a game of soccer.
Hooray for Summer like weather in Seattle!
