An afternoon in Port Townsend, WA
I will always remember this season of my life as the time where I spent hours upon hours at the beach: scanning the shore for interesting creatures, seeing how far I can throw a rock and creating rock art just to have Jasper happily destroy it in a matter of seconds. More importantly, I will always remember my time keeping watch for flying rocks and happily supervising one determined little boy hoist, lift and throw logs and rocks into the water like it was his job. I have always had a love for the water, but it has become so important these past couple of years we literally crave being surrounded by it.
Last weekend, after wrapping up our responsibilities at Youth Conference we headed north and spent an afternoon at Port Townsend. We went for a boat ride, ate lunch and had the all important ice cream cone to cap off the day. The simple moments, the ones without a plan other than being together are always some of my fondest memories. No expectations, but always lots of fun and memories.
