Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

For the Fourth of July we headed to the San Juans for the weekend. We had never spent the holiday in the islands before and it was the perfect combination of small town goodness and patriotism. The morning of the fourth started out with a parade followed by a pie eating contest, blind boat races and log rolling competition in Roche Harbor. It was fun to see so many people enjoying the sunshine and the freedoms we enjoy living in this country.
