A little bit about Lisette.....

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most alive surrounded by trees and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

When I am not working you will most likely find me spending time outdoors, volunteering with my church and exploring this beautiful planet with my family.

This is my place to share my passion for life and to encourage you to take time to find the extraordinary in your life.

Easter weekend recap

Easter weekend recap

I realize Easter has long since come and gone, but I am just getting around to writing about it. Easter was filled with chocolate, Easter eggs and a profound gratitude for the knowledge that death is not the end. We are eagerly anticipating the day we will see our loved ones again, especially our sweet son Asher.

Friday night we did an egg hunt in our neighborhood. I strewn the eggs around the lawn and I thought Jasper would have a fun time picking them up, but this bunny was more interested in hopping around the garden than picking up eggs.

Saturday we took this mischievous little bunny on a hike to Rattlesnake Ridge and he was such a hit on the trail with those bunny ears on. He was sassy, silly, happy and fun most of the hike long.

After our hike Jasper tried his hand at rock throwing and showed us that even though it was his first time he is a professional at throwing things and making waves wherever he goes.

Easter morning we had an Easter basket filled with essentials like a new toothbrush, coloring book and Easter socks. I had my friend make him a special custom bow tie out of the left over fabric from his baby blanket and it made my heart sing to see him in it. No one else knew the sentimentality behind this little tie, but it is something I will treasure forever.

That evening we headed over to my parent's house for a spectacular meal like always and this adorable bunny cake almost too cute to eat. They showered Jasper with amazing and thoughtful gifts; most notably he received some pint size gardening tools which were quickly put to use the very next day. And any weekend which results in two cakes is a weekend to remember.
