When getting there is half the fun
One of our favorite ways to start a weekend getaway is by hopping on a ferry. Living in West Seattle we live so close to the Fauntleroy/Southworth ferry it often feels like a hop, skip and a jump and we are some place new. Jasper has taken more ferry rides in his short life, then I had probably taken when I was in my twenties.
No matter how many times we have taken a ferry ride, it never gets old. On the shorter rides, most drivers often just stay in their cars which means we pretty much have the place to ourselves. We have seen breathtaking sunsets, whales and our fair share of beautiful scenery from the ferry. As I type this, we are heading on another ferry adventure early tomorrow morning and I cannot wait!
