Our Year in Review: Part One
2013 was a year of hope, disappointment, courage and perseverance. We experienced many adventures, laughed often, and learned to love deeper. Maintaining a spirit of gratitude was this year's mission.
We started the year off reflecting on where we found our Winter Solace and enjoyed a day trip to the San Juan Islands.
In February, I commenced work on my third quilt, this time a spider quilt. We created a Valentine celebration from items we found at Pike Place Market and slowly learned how to Live with a void. We spent a memorable week in NYC and celebrated Valentine's Day there.
In March, we spent a long weekend with friends at Seabrook, WA and I attended my first Seattle Bloggers Unite event. Easter was celebrated by making mini Easter baskets.
Spring was primarily spent outside with date nights, daffodil and tulip sightings in LaConner, hiking at Ebey's Landing, enjoying the cherry blossoms at the University of Washington and a day trip to Coupeville.
We love spending time exploring our city and enjoyed a day at the Center For Wooden Boats and taking our out of town guests on Ride the Ducks.
Keep your eye out for A Year in Review: Part Two, later this week.
