Our Year in Review: Part Two
In May, we went on our inaugural camping trip for the season to Pot Holes State Park. We also enjoyed eating al fresco and shared tips for Assembling the Perfect Cheese Platter. We spent our weekends hiking and kayaking off Alki Beach.
In June we hiked around the Leavenworth area and in July we teamed up with Snoqualmie Ice Cream to host our annual Ice Cream Social.
In the Summer time, we focused our attention on food with a trips to go strawberry and raspberry picking, we attended a Farm to Table dinner and went on a Savor Food Tour of Pike Place Market. We also reflected on our first Nine Months of grieving.
Spectacular sunshine was soaked up from many a mountain top including Snow Lake, Granite Mountain, and Mount Rainier.
In August, we went sailing for our second time and I took my very first food styling class with Aran Goyoaga.
In September, we did two overnight backpacking trips to Snow Lake and Gem Lake and threw a going away party for a good friend.
In October, we honored the one year anniversary of our son's passing with a long weekend in the North Cascades and enjoyed visiting local farms and pumpkin patches. We also took a long road trip up to Jasper and Banff.
In November, we enjoyed another weekend up in Mazama, celebrated Thanksgiving and were busily preparing for Christmas.
In December, we did our best to keep Christmas simple, enjoyed family traditions and went on a road trip to Utah to visit family.
